RA Background Entry. 17th Lancer,Past Snippy.

This is my part for [link] Hopefully its alright. Did one of my favorite subjects, Cavalry units and old era war....Although the uniform here, while keeping to the colors, is a still a tad stylized. XD

So A little history for you~ _{The 17th lancers were a British cavalry unit, also called the Duke of Cambridge's Own Lancers. Although mainly positioned within India the 17th did fight in the Zulu wars in South Africa, more notedly The Battle Of Ulandi [link] Before later taking part in the Second Boer war. With heavy losses from the Boer they returned to their posting in India before being called on for the first world war. [link] <- more info on the 17th}
